Cloudbreak Discovery Plc (LSE: CDL), a natural resource project generator, is pleased to announce that it has made the following non-board appointments; Rory Kutluoglu as Chief Operating Officer, Cam Bartsch as Vice President of Exploration and Henrik Mikkelsen as Vice President of Corporate Development.
Rory Kutluoglu is a Canadian geologist with more than 15 years of exploration experience in a wide variety of commodities across Europe and North and South America. Rory currently works on the technical team with Cronin Capital Corp., a Canadian merchant bank focused exclusively on natural resources which advises Cloudbreak on target acquisitions and potential joint ventures and is a Director of Temas Resources Corp., a company in which Cloudbreak owns 15.8%.
Rory began his professional career working on the team that discovered the Broken Hammer deposit in Sudbury for Wallbridge Mining and went on to conduct exploration for Aeroquest Surveys Ltd., Equity Exploration Consultants Ltd., Goldfields Canada, and Kiska Metals Corp. Most notably, he was Exploration Manager for Kaminak Gold Corp. from 2012 to 2015 and was part of the team that delivered the maiden resource, positive preliminary economic assessment, and positive feasibility study for the Coffee Gold Project in Yukon, which was subsequently acquired by Goldcorp Inc. (now Newmont Corp.) for $520 million.
Rory has held executive suite roles for several exploration companies. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Lakehead University and has been a professional geoscientist, registered with The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia since 2011 and is a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists.
Cam Bartsch is a professional geologist with over 20 years of industry experience on projects across the mining life cycle, from exploration to production. Throughout his academic and professional career, he has focussed on structural and economic geology and has successfully leveraged this expertise while exploring for base and precious metals throughout North and South America, Eastern Europe, and Western Asia. Cam was previously Senior Structural Geologist with Terrane Geoscience Inc. where he evaluated a wide range of mineral projects and completed structural assessments for clients that included Kinross, Newmont, and Teck.
Cam has worked previously at the British Columbia Securities Commission, managed exploration programmes for Equity Exploration Consultants, and was a senior member of the exploration team that expanded the Back River Project to the world class asset it is today, while working with Dundee Precious Metals and Sabina Gold and Silver Corp.
Cam graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Geology) degree from the University of Saskatchewan and Master of Science (Structure and Tectonics) degree from Acadia University. He is a registered professional geologist with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia.
Henrik Mikkelsen has over 25 years of experience in finance, commodity trading and managing an investment portfolio. Henrik has previously worked as an investment banker and a portfolio manager for several mid-sized European banks and subsequently at Vattenfall Denmark as head of external portfolio management. Recently Henrik has been managing a portfolio focused on the natural resource and resource technology sector.
Henrik is currently the CEO of Iridis AG through which he provides strategic investment and business development advisory services. He is based in Zug, Switzerland.
